Turn in Your Unused Medications In Corvallis

For anyone in Corvallis area, to get rid of old medications safely, here's where you can deposit them (safer than a bunch of pills in your trash; and we don't throw them down the toilet anymore, do we?)

At Oregon State University, allegedly 24/7/365, a drop-box in the lobby of the Oregon State Police. They told me today that it's "gi-normous, can't miss it". A brightly colored mail-box, like the old big mailboxes on street corners, next to the elevators on the second floor of their building.

Cascade Hall, on campus:

Here is the official blurb from the OSP

Greetings,

OSU now has a prescription drop box housed at the OSP lobby.  This drop box is for faculty, staff, and students to depose of  unwanted Rx drugs.  It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.  There are no questions asked from those who are dropping off their unwanted drugs.  We have an add in the paper today and tomorrow but will do a grand opening in the fall.

The purpose of the box is three fold:

  1. Keep drugs out of the hands of those people who are suicidal (means reduction).
  2. Keep chemicals out of the water ways.
  3. Keep drugs off the streets and out of the hands of people struggle with drug abuse/dependence.

Pass this is on to others as you see warranted.
